About Me

I am a new urban homesteader, just a few months old. I'm also a mother, grandmother, wife and friend. I love to sew, read and play on the 'net. New to blogging and just trying to find my way so I appreciate any and all comments that give me some direction in what I'm trying to do.

I've been young, old, and am young again these days! I attribute that to eating Paleo and think it will extend my life by years.  I hope so anyway, I have 3 grandchildren, the oldest is 25, the youngest 5, and the monkey in the middle is almost 15. I've been blessed to see the older 2 grow up, and want to see my only boy get there too!  I'm excited to show him the things I plan to do this year, he will be in awe of the chickens and I'm sure he'll help in the garden.

My dream is to retire, and homestead full time, maybe even sell our city home and buy a small house and some land in the country so I can have a couple goats, too!

My spouse, Dusty, and I have been together 14 years and were married 2 years ago in April, when same sex marriages were legalized in NY.  It was an awesome experience and another blessing in my life. I didn't think I would see it happen in my lifetime.  We have 4 babies, Giorgio, our Papillion/Shitzu mix, and 3 kitties.  You will find I don't believe in hidden closets, so haven't been in one for a long time. If you have any issue with that, I kindly request that you keep your comments to your self and just don't visit here again. I believe that our world needs healing, and it begins with love, so I'm hopeful that is all I will receive here. It is sure that is what you will get from me.

This is a picture from 2 years ago, on our wedding day. I don't have a recent one of me, because I generally don't take a good pic. I'm the one with the brown hair, tho it is blonde now. LOL, covers the gray much better!

Thank you for being here, and I hope you come back often to see my blog and my life continue to blossom!
